About Zeke:
Practically every blood relative on my mother's side going back several generations is / was diabetic. Diagnosis of T2 in the fall of '07 came as no surprise. With diet, exercise, and metformin I have kept A1c levels in the mid 5 range and fasting blood glucose numbers typically below the 100 mark. Because of this today I test almost entirely post-prandial. The BMI is within normal range and for exercise I'll bicycle, snowshoe, hike, or anything else which gets the blood pumping. |
