Your privacy and the privacy of your data is very important to
us. All data that you send us will be kept confidential. However, because we
are dedicated to helping improve the lives of diabetics, data may be pooled
into a collective database for the purpose of assessing general trends and
outcomes, and for use by researchers to assist in finding a cure or
improvements in diabetic care. We will protect your privacy by removing all
personal identifiers from any data that we pool into a collective database.
We are a tracking, management platform and social support network. As such we have
built in social networking and account sharing features for those users that
choose to use them either publically, privately or in between. We highly encourage this as
it makes it easy for the diabetic to get extra support and motivation from their
friends, family and physicians.
We've built in several sharing/privacy settings which a user can choose to utilize at any
time to determine the level that they would like to share their account and to whom.
Privacy settings range from completely public to completely private. As we encourage
community support, interation and motivation the default selection for privacy settings
for a new users is set to "Members Only" on the user sign up page. This can be changes
either during signup or after signup instantly.
If your account sharing/privacy setting is set to Friends Only, then
only other users you authorized to view your account can do so. You do this by accepting
their friend invitation. While no one else will be able to see your account or statistics,
others can search for your name and request for your authorization to be their friend.
If you do not want your name showing up anywhere in the system or sharing your
stats with anyone it is suggested you set your sharing/privacy setting to "Private".

If you have your account set to private, we will not disclose to third parties any identifying data,
including your name, mailing address, e-mail address or phone number without your express permission.
To ensure the privacy of your data, never share your username and password with anyone unless you want them
to have access to your data.
This Policy applies to all of the products, services and websites
offered by SugarStats, LLC or its subsidiaries or affiliated companies
(collectively, SugarStats "services").
SugarStats adheres to the American Medical Associations Guidelines for
Medical and Health Information Sites on the Internet.
Affiliated sites - We offer some of
our services in connection with other web sites. Personal information that you
provide to those sites may be sent to SugarStats in order to deliver the
service. We process such information in accordance with this Policy. The
affiliated sites may have different privacy practices and we encourage you to
read their privacy policies.
Links - SugarStats may present
links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have
been followed. We use this information to improve the quality of our search
technology, customized content and advertising.
Public, Friend Only and Member Account Sharing - While we
respect users data privacy, there are social networking and statistics sharing elements to the
platform. We have implemented multiple levels of sharing access for a users account from which
they can choose which works best for them. A user can make their account public, friends only,
members only and completely private.
Sharing allows a user to keep their diabetes support network, including their friends, family and physicians,
informed on their diabetic health and progress. When a user views another statistics, they only see a read-only
version of the stats, graphs and trends.
A user can choose from the following sharing/privacy settings:
Private accounts will no be viewable by anyone except the account creator
Friends only accounts will be viewable by only the trusted individuals the account creator has accepted as a friend.
Members Only accounts can be viewed by other user logged in.
Public accounts can be viewed by anyone on the internet logged in or not (Though to comment you have to be logged in).
The default setting for all new accounts is "Members Only".
We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us
via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, and
information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or
site registrations). The information we collect is used to improve the content
of our Web pages and the quality of our service, and is not shared with or
sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide
products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under
the following circumstances:
It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent,
or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations
involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations

When you register for SugarStats, LLC we may ask for information such as
your name, company name, email address, billing address, credit card
information. Members who sign up for the free account are not required to
enter a credit card.

general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and
authentication, services improvement, contact, and research.

required to run SugarStats, LLC. Although SugarStats, LLC owns the code,
databases, and all rights to the SugarStats application, you retain all rights

SugarStats, LLC may disclose personally identifiable
information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or
when your actions violate the Terms of Service.
